if i add the k&n filter with the billet adaptor from alba, do i need to make any jetting changes just based on changing the airfilter?

sorry if that sounds dumb, im used to 2stroke bikes that need to be re-jetted everytime the wind blows.

 

You do need to change your jets. I believe that when I did the same to my bike I changed the main jet to a 142. I don't know the altitude of where you live but I am in Miami. If you take the lid off the air box you may need to go a bigger jet. I only changed the main jet, no needles. I felt a real nice bottom end increase but none at the top. Good luck and enjoy.
