i am j/w i realy like both atvs and just dont know wat one to buy

 

as far as i know the 450r is a better quad...stronger breaks and just a faster quad

 

There so close it comes down to your own prefrences and your favorit color. IMO there both excellent quads.

The yfz is faster. The honda is more comfortable to ride because of seating positoin and softer seat. Also if you are 6 foot or more there is just plain more room on the honda. it also has more useable power. It is also 400 bucks less than the yfz. But for 300 bucks you can get the hrc kit and you will spent less and have a faster more powerful quad.

 

At my dealer ship both 450's are the same price otd. My brother bought a 450r this last weekend. I have only been able to ride it around the yard but its fast. I dont think it is faster than my yfz when it was in stock form.

Also i am 6'4 200 pounds(give or take a pound) and i dont feel cramped on my yfz450. Yes the 450r has more room but it doesnt matter to me.

 

Fast has 2 elements- acceleration and top speed.

By saying the yfz is faster you mean acceleration, which is true. The yfz is only a small margin faster in acceleration. The 450r has a higher top speed. They are both truely remarkable machines, don't sweat it man, you would really love either one.

 

I would say the opposite! I have put in several hours riding a friends (bone stock at the time) YFZ, and it had no low end acceleration at all. Once you reved up into the mid range, there was a hit and then it took off. Top speed is VERY FAST. The TRX on the other hand, has lots of low end torque, and has bottom end acceleration like a rocket, but you have to rev it out because of the tall gearing. Top speed is a bit less than the YFZ however.

I did some fast trail riding this afternoon on the TRX. It has to be the BEST HANDLING TRAIL BIKE THERE HAS EVER BEEN! The YFZ on the other hand, is a pretty miserable trail ride.

 

I ride trails on my yfz 3 to 4 times a week. It isnt a miserable trail ride. And i think it has alot of low end acceleration.

 

Ya,,,They are both great quads...they both have there disadvantages and their advantages...Its a lost cause on this forum asking which quad is better....Some will put there life on the Yamaha being better others will put it on the Honda...I like both but its all on personal interest...you know..kickstart, electric start,, color, seat preference...but If I would get one I would get the Honda..but its up to you..you should try to ride both to see what feels better for you.
