The K&N will work great with a pipe and jetting... By it self your not really doing anything....With more air flow you will need to jet the carb...If your going to go to all the trouble I would just buy a pipe and filter and jet kit.......

The K&N has great flow, but if you ride in dusty conditions it lets in more dust than other filters like the Uni or Moose. It does give a little better performance, but you have to decide if it's the best for the conditions you ride in. It can be used with the stock exhaust with re-jetting the carb, but the stock exhaust will limit the performance it can add. Usuall the first mods are the pipe, the filter and the jet on the carb. And before buying the full jet kit check around, you can usually find someone in a similar elevation with your bike that can tell you what jet to run. This will save you around $45. Good luck.

Just an an Outerwears or Prefilter to the K&N and you will be fine in dusty conditions

you are correct that was my sign in...i signed up for this site in january and left it so i would automatically log in whenever i got on the computer, then i went to see my grandpa down in texas for 3 weeks...my brother tends to mess around with my stuff when i'm gone....is there any way i can see what other posts he posted, like a history of all posts or something....and yes my DVX is bone stock, that list is fake, he must have found what you can do to a 4wheeler and put it on there, the part about not knowing too much about engines is still correct for me though lol, thats why i put this thread on here...and i dont hate polaris either, i'm talking my friend into getting a predator, he wants a raptor.

when i signed up i might have made one post after i signed up then i left to visit my grandpa who has been having heart problems. i talked to my brother and he said he didnt even go on my computer so either hes lying or one of my friends used my laptop. i signed up in january and i got my DVX the second week of february, its bone stock, thats the truth. i'm 15 and my dad bought it for me, he dosnt like the fact of putting mods (a pipe basically) in it but he said a K&N would be fine...and i was curious if it would even be worth me spending money on, the trails around here are old railroad beds and it gets really dusty so if that makes a difference let me know
