so if the laws get way too strict do you think they will stop making a few models? and what about existing two strokes will they still be legal to run on the trail?

Default goodbye 2 strokes????

in the latest atv sport mag,the manufacturers from every company was in it and they said if i'm not mistaken that there could be more brand new 2 stroke sport atv's on the way.So i don't see them getting rid of 2 strokes for a while and any way i haven't heard of any company's saying they are getting rid of them,it's all rumors until i hear official word of it.

I bought a YFZ 450 and the guy at the dealership told me that, the 2- stroke would not be @ in 2007 because of emmissions control. So if u have a Banshee hang on to it because soon it will be worth some $$$$$$$$$!!!

2006 is what I have heard also...The reason there getting cracked down on is the oil and gas mixture and the smoke that they produce.. Unless they come out with some kind of clean burning oil to mix that wouldnt put off NO emmisions..Then I dont see a future in two strokes.. Sad but true...

Unfortunately it's not quite as simple as that Spudss... It's the fact that 2 strokes create more exhaust emissions than 4 strokes do. Just by the simple nature of 2 strokes, the tend to pass a lot more HC (unburnt gas) out the tail pipe.
