My buddy had an 03 Raptor, Tranny blew so he traded it in. Now he has a 04 Raptor LE, and it's in the shop now, with 1st gear out of it. I am one happy guy knowing I didn't buy a Raptor. If I got a dollar for every raptor tranny I hear about. I'd be rich. Anyone else having tranny problems??? I thought they had tranny problems in only 01' guess not...

 

Only a few guys on this forum, 2 i believe, have had problems with an 02 or later trans. Both were running built big bores. Sounds like your buddy just has some bad luck.

i have an '01 and mine is holding up fine... its taken some abuse too

i dont think theyre so bad, even the 01's. some guys have had problems with there raptor trannys, but i have heard a lot of guys say there 01 is still runnin strong on its original tranny. meybe he was power shifting it thats bad for ur tranny

Yeah, I have had zero problems with my tranny.

I think it is purely rider error on your friends part.

 

Mine is only hard to shift out of reverse, and finding neutral can be a PITA sometimes. Other than that its fine.
