DS650 or KFX700 ? I need some info from riders
#1
Im selling both my current sport quads and going to acquire a newer one.
I need something that rides smooth. More so than the pred or raptor.
Id like something fast that I could ride all day and not wear out my back.
I do have back problems so keep this in mind.
It will be used for trail riding and drag racing. No MX.
I dont mind the auto trans.
I need help ! Cant decide between these 2. I need info from people that actually own them.

I have a friend that owns a ds.....and I have ridden it quite a bit.....I would personally go with it, it has a extremely nice ride, lots of power, and he seems to get along with it ok......The only problem I can think of is that the ds is a little wide for trail ridding(tight trails anyways, but we have never had any problems there either)

I have a DS and a friend has a 700. I have ridden both and can say that the DS has a much smoother ride and is more comfortable. I also prefer the handling of the DS. But if you have back problems and plan on doing trail riding, you may want to take into consideration, that the 700 has reverse and the DS doesn't. The DS is very heavy and it takes a lot of muscle to pull it around.

my honest opinion is go with the ds. i have cronic back problems too and the ds is very easy on my back. the only draw back is no reverse. as for power and speed the ds has plenty. what happened to your back if you don't mind? i injured mine in an accident or i should say a couple of accidents through the years and now it's coming to see me. i had to give up mx to keep from damageing it worse. pm me, i like hearing from people with the same problems, they might know something that could help my pain or i might be able to help theirs.

I own an 04 DS and love it. I can ride all day and not hurt due to the awesome comfort the suspension provides. It is well known that it's the fastest stock quad out. I have raced 1 of the 700's and won, but have never ridden one to compare the ride. I like the ability to shift when I want to so that I can wind it up or take it easy as I see fit. I am biased since I love my DS so keep that in mind. Either one is a good choice, but I think the DS is a better performance machine with more to offer. Hope this helps.

Thanks a ton for the info guys. Seems the DS is the way to go.
No worries about the reverse. I will make a winch mount system for whatever bike I end up getting.

I am a newer DS owner and love it. Good speed, suspension, and very well built. I do think you should think twice about the V though, the reverse could sure be handy if you have back problems. I had a chance to ride one with a clutch kit, custom snorkle, and pipes and that thing ripped. It spanked my DS in a 300' drag, I was giving up about 100# but I was still surprised. They are both great but I do miss reverse sometimes.

well seriously, ds 650 i would go with, the v-force will eventually have belt slip tranny probablems, its not good for jumps, but its an all around good trail or any thing but jumping quad, the ds is a little bit user unfriendly, it has a "mind" of its own, the rear likes to go out in front from what i hear
ds650 is overall better
