yeah it doesn't have 43Hp. It love how everyone overestimates these 250's. The tecata was the fastest one but like roostthrower said it isn't even as fast as a stock shee. But it's not just the tecata. People think that the 250r in stock form was extreamly fast. There are a handfull of stock quads out now that are faster then a stock 250R. Most people also dont realize that a bone stock 250R isn't that great handleing in stock trim compaired to todays quads either. Sure modded it is awsome but stock lets not give it any more credit then it deserves.
Not trying to bash any of these quads either. If I can have any other quad other then my shee it would be a TECATE. So I do love these quads.

I have an 87 LT250 with wiseco piston .080" over Eric Gorr ported 39PWK reeds K&N no airbox Paul Turner midrange pipe sand skate II's. Yes it runs very good, pulls a little better than our piped Raptor, and a YFZ will just hand me my head on a platter.
Them old 250 2 strokes are fun to ride with the zippy powerband but they're yesterday's news for sure.
