Sand tires in snow?

Default Sand tires in snow?

I have a 400ex and i live in wisconsin where we get alot of snow. in the winter i ride on rivers and lakes and what not and i was wondering if anyone has tried sand tires in the snow? If anyone has how good did it work and is it worth the investment? thanks

you're best bet for the snow or trail ridding in winter is the Pro-wedge or Maxxis 4-snow no other are better then those

The 4snows or the Pro-wedges would be a good deal for your riding.

GBC makes a paddle tire made for snow and mud. its called the paddle master

I dont know how well "sand" tired would work in the snow...because I would the snow would chew them up pretty good...but idk that is just my .02

thanks, where could i find the Pro-wedge tires. i looked and couldn't find anyone selling them.

You can find them ONLY at your Honda dealer..... it's a agreement between Honda and Ohtsu

Check an issue of dirtwheels. There is a company that carries them. Dont have one infront of me but remembered seeing it last night.

Duno about sand tires in snow but my snow tires rule in sand [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] My Ohtsu pro wedge sand/snow tires
are way smoother than lets say Geckos,stars etc and hook up almost as good.
They are so smooth that they feel like the stock tires on any terrain.
I think they would do fine....
