He probably was short shifting the Shee. Not used to a 2 stroke and one with that type of power band.

 

banshees aren't that much faster then any of the newer 4 strokes theres just quicker and the banshee was stock you overestimate banshees

 

there is more bullsh!t in this thread than there is on the king ranch.
here are the facts:
a piped/filtered/jetted z400 will get beat by a stock banshee if the race is on pavement.
banshee jetting from the factory is in most cases spot on.
a piped banshee would be about even with a z440 with the works.
two strokes are not hard to ride in a straight line. with about 5-10mins experience on the bike you will learn the shift points.
if you have a piped/jetted/filtered z400 and you beat any sort of banshee, you need to tell your buddy to check his compression.
four stroke technology has not come close to catching two strokes. a stock displacement yfz is capable of maybe 55 hp while a stock displacement banshee is capable of nearly 100.

these are not up for debate. these are facts. If you don't like it, tough.

 

Wow, roost, I think you're the first shee owner to say factory jetting is spot on. So, who's lying, you or them? Either way, you just proved that a z can beat a shee. If they're lying, then the shee was jetted right and lossed, but if you're lying, then a piped, blah, blah, blah z can beat a shee. You really shouldn't go against your own, Cuz it makes the group as a whole look dumb. I ain't scared of a stock shee. A zilla on the other hand.

 

I don't really care what you think about banshee owners. Think whatever you want. There are many factors that could determine a race between a piped z400 and a stock banshee. What I am trying to say is that when both a piped z400 and a stock banshee are running 100% the banshee will win every time.

 

So if you put a first time rider on the shee that's runnin 100%, he'll beat a veteran rider on a piped z runnin 100%? Just keep diggin that hole.

 

I think doug gust's 440 could take a stock banshee, if his mechanics set it up for drag racing.



Does that stock displacement banshee capable of having 100 hp have a turbo? I really would like to know, banshees truely are animals.

 

no blowing needed to get a shee to 100hp on stock displacement. just a great builder.

 

here is a thought LOL.......why dont you get a video of it and put it online? *amazing all these intelligent people just couldnt figure out that very simple solution lol* or better yet, why dont one of you guys that has both the z400 and the banshee and go drag them..since you own them im sur eyou know how to "shift" properly.....so go outside fire em up....and record your best times....take pics of your slips to prove it. hope this ends this argurment but if not its a blast to read btw lol. im with the shee owners btw.......if a z400 will outrun a banshee....stock for stock...or modded for modded its not gonna happen.. the statement that a z400 will keep up with one or blow it away...well, it sails about as good as the titanic did...floats about as good as a brick....and needless to say, it just doesnt add up....its like puttin 5 and 5 together and trying to get 7. unless your drunk...its not gonna happen. oh btw. you guys are gonna bitc# at me because i ride a 300EX but get this guys lol....its being rebuilt by Chad Devols engine builder.....if you dont know who chad devol is..well...then dont say anything because you dont derserve to ride a quad lol. and im sellin the 300EX after i get it rebuilt and gonna get a 350banshee or 400EX...i think the 350 banshee will toast that 400EX though...so im leanin towards the banshee lol.
