tires

The Holeshot H-D does very well in the sand (we have a little sand here in So. Calif.!). The ***** are widely spaced and deep, so the tire gets a good bite in soft stuff. Where it doesn't do so great, is on desert hardpack. Now, I am not recommending this as a tire for the dunes, but rather something like running up a sand wash on a cross-country ride.

See your other post. I recommend the Standard Holeshots for the little Blaster. I had not ridden a Blaster in years, but I rode a friends the other day. Brought back a lot of memories! Great fun little bike!

Holeshots wear out quicker. They are designed for soft dirt. Hence, the ***** are softer for a better grip. You take them on a trail and they'll wear out about 4 times quicker than the Razrs. If you get the Razrs, don't worry about getting the II's or MX's. Get the plain old Razr's. Don't spend more money on something that you don't really need. You might also consider the Carlisle Truf Tamers. A little cheaper than the Maxxis, but not quite as great for life length. But for the kind of riding that you do, I would go with the Turf Tamers, or Razrs. Razr's will give you quite a bit more bite on those trails too.
