Just bought black 05 450R

This certificate is something that is shipped with every machine that goes to the dealers. I have gotten one for every new machine I have bought. It almost looks like a car title, but is brown and white. The dealer should be giving these to the purchaser of every new machine.

Give it some time, I think you will be suprised with the power gains once you do a couple of mods. I had a 400EX and the power gain with the 450R is amazing, especially when you take it out and play in the sand. Good choice picking the Black 450r, the new color makes it look pretty sweet. Depending on what your budget is, you may want to look at the HRC kit with a 13T sprocket. It's a pretty decent power increase for about $300 dollars. If money isn't the problem, I'd say go all out. I hope you enjoy your new machine.

I just pulled my certificate of origin to see if this was true and the H.P. is listed. It is a 2002 raptor and lists 43.1 for H.P. and 401.24 for weight. Never noticed before, cool. Thinking this is rated at the engine and not the rear wheels, I've read stock at the rear wheels is in the upper thirties.

I just got back from the dunes and the new bike ran great. It has a tall and useable first gear I used it a lot on the sand. I wish I sould tune the initial bump out of the shocks over rippled sand. I backed them off one full turn from stock and it is great in whoops and jumps but the ripples still shake the bike. The stock power was very suffcient I was never in the back. I worry the HRC cam would be to high rpm for me. I rarely rev out of the stock powerband. It is very broad and pulls from the bottom nicely. I would like nerf bars and a quiet hi flow exhaust sytem. Loud just brings the cops faster.

With the M.S.O. certificate, it depends on the state. In some states the dealer sends it to DMV to have a title created for the vehicle either before or after it's sold. In NY my dealer sent it in with the registration paperwork and I got a title in the mail.
