Probably never. The market trend is toward automatics, particularly in the utes (from which the 250 is derived). The autoclutch is OK on this bike, because it is kind of a beginner to intermadiate machine.

why would they ever put a clutch on it? just buy a 300 if you want a clutch.

because some people like small ATVs like that for example the blaster from yamaha and the 300ex cost more
