i have a ds650 baja x and a friend has a yfz450 when we are riding u can tell he does take off a bit better not by much tho, but i easily take him on top speed. On GPS he maxed out on packed dirt road at 77 mph stock for stock my friends yfz450 takes a raptor on take off and top speed. The GPS is proven accurate. And by the way i max out at 84mph

the Certificate of Authenticity (MSO) for my DS says 48.6 hp (at the crank). My V says 49.4 hp. Where the DS takes a YFZ is in the torque which makes up for the extra weight in the DS.
I have run against a few YFZ's on the DS and it really depended on who got the hole-shot. But as mentioned before, if the DS fell behind at the start, it will real in the YFZ and pass it. The V on the other hand loses hp through the drive train (being auto and shaft drive) but I will admit that it feels capable to take all machines listed above in the hole-shot but loses out to all on top end except machines under the 450 class. I have put the V up against a Raptor, a modded V (CDI and pipe/jet work), and a Predator and I can take all of them (except the other V) on the hole-shot.
