why won t honda or yamaha step up and come out with a 350cc or 400 2 stroke stort quad they know we love our 2 strokes sure they have down sides but so do 4 strokes HAY HONDA LETS HAVE A 350R !!!! FOR 2001 owener of atc 250r 86 and 86 4trx 250r

 

I am sure it has something to do with environmental issues. Probably to difficult and expensive for the manufactures to justify the cost for putting out a 2-stroke.

 

I talked to a man from HONDA at Loretta Lynn's mx race last weekend. He said they have the technology to meet the emission requirements but it wouldn't be cost efficient.He said to produce a 250R again it would cost around 8000 msrp. If all of you still want a 250R then give honda a call and tell them you would dish out $8000 dollars..

 

With the new Raptor and DS checking in at about the 65-7000 range and selling/pre-ordered like crazy, I would bet they would sell every last new 2-stroke racer/sport quad they can make. It seems like it would not be quite as expensive as building a new 4-stroke sport quad (if your are looking at the same chassis and only a different motor). What will happen (if anything)..Honda will put a 600-650cc engine in something similar to a 400ex and it still won't run with the more powerful Raptor (may handle better though).

 

whats up i mean look at the dirt bikes if they can have cool high tech 2 stroke engines why can t we!!!???

 

4 traxman look though at the motocross scene.thats changing to,look at the 4 strokes that are coming out,look at enduro bikes,almost no 2 strokes.ya can thank the epa,tree huggers,did I mention al gore and the bimbo adminastration,UH I mean the clinton 1 and all the ignorant people for these socialist and insidious lies,hell the way it looks if us freewheeling generation xers and yers dont get off our asses,we wont be even able to ride 3 strokes it wont even matter,cause there will be no place to ride or very few places left. 2 srtokes doput way more pollutants in the air,but i dont care im not gonna be around in 100 years.I really do love how the politicians play it up and say protect the enviroment for ya kids and grandkids,Well im single i dont know if im ever gonna have kids let alone be alive tommrrow or next week ya know so how can they play god and say we should do this or that.I dont want any 1 trying to save me except my good friends family and myself.Well happy roosting

 

gas gas is making a 300cc race ready 2 stroke from what i saw.

 

hay thats a great reply i see it this way there are a ton of bikes in moto crossthat are 2 strokes as well as bikes you can get str8 off the showroom floor im pissed whats the diff there why can t we find a few 2 strokes in quads other than yamaha there are none gas gas with the soon to be relealed 300cc is the only company dareing to put a new 2 stroke on the market since the since the 250r in 86 which is what i now swing a leg over not fair not fair!!!! WE want 2 strokes too!

 

ops the banshee came out in 87 yamaha was the last stand for 2 strokes weren t there i forget what year the blaster came out o and i was talking about real quads so don t be mad at me rubber ban rider's lol

 

Yamaha has a 350 2 stroke sport quad and a 200.
