Default Sport quad? Best bang for the buck?

I was looking into buying a new sport quad pretty soon. There are so many different ones to choose from that i don't know where to start. I will be using it for mostly trail riding. Although i like to catch some airtime and ride wheelies. I love strong accelleration and a fair top speed of atleast 60mph. I already have a ute for mudding and camping and watnot but i need a toy to play on if ya know what im saying. Ok here is the tricky part. This is the part that makes the decision so much harder. I could choose a quad without any help if money wasn't an issue. I am looking for something around $5000 to $5300 tops. I once had a blaster back in 98 and it was a blast to ride, but i felt like i was too big for the quad even though it had plenty of power. I am around 5 10 and 195 pounds. I have been looking at the 350 Raptor as far as price but i haven't heard that much about them. I know that it carries the same engine as the older warrior which has proven to be reliable. Do you guys know what quad i could be looking at around this price range that can give me what i want? All opinions and advice will be appreciated very much. Thanks guys!

you can get a used z400 for much less then $5000 that would be a good quad. more power then the raptor 350 and an all around better quad. its a great trail machine.

I really like the z400 and it would more than likely be my choice if it wasn't for the new price. I am weary about buying used stuff. If i new who had it and how it was maintained then i would definataly go for it but those circumstances are hard to come by. I think the z400 runs around $6100 or so new. Thanks for the advice. Dang man. That was a pretty good idea. I just got off the phone with myt local dealership. Here is what they offered me. 2003 left over Suzuki z400 $4830.00 plus tax. My next question is are there any performance differences between the 03's and up? They also have the 2004 Honda 400ex for $4995. They told me the suzuki is running a 9.9 apr fixed for 60 months. (which i'd say i can do better with my exellent credit). Honda is running no money down fixed 6.9 on theirs. I just bought a Suzuki Eiger about 6 month ago on a fixed 6.9 from the same dealership. I think they won't commit to anything over the phone until they run you credit. What do you guys think about these deals?

I myself am a Honda man, but the z400 is the BEST BANG for the buck. The 400ex has no reverse and the z does. Suziku is also reliable, look at the Quadzilla. Your lucky u found a leftover for that much.
I dont think there is any other mods between 04 and 05.

What irritates me is!
Those 6-packs work pretty good.

$4850 is a good price but i am looking for a z and finding them everywhere for under $4000. getting a left over 04 is a good idea too, im just saying if you want to save even more money u can get mint condition used for even less.
