my friend is debating on getting a yfz450 or a 450r he is thinking about getting into racing his favorite type of riding is the dunes and he rides trails often too. which quad is the right one for him. also how much difference in power and speed is there in the two

 

I'm not going to be of alot of help here, but if you mostly ride dunes and race, chances are the YFZ will be better suited to those situations. I'm not sure which one would excel in woods over the other. Take into consideration electric v.s. kick start also if that's important.

 

thats a tough choice,they both perform about the same,but the yfz may have a slight edge and plus it has electric start,if you need that.So i would tell your friend go look at both and sit on them and see which one he likes the best.

 

If I had to pick one I would most likely go with the 450r. Love the way those things look all modded out. And it won the baja race first time out.
