Sport quad for mud...i would say any of the smaller sport quads 400cc and less. My cousin put his 300ex thru some crazy mud some 4x4 could make it thru (so light). Buddies warrrior is good in mud too. Personal opinion on a mud sport machine would be an air cooled quad, 400cc or less, with reverse, and a backup started along with the estart. Dont know if that exsists but thats my opinion

I put a 1980 ATC 185 through more than most utility machines see. I followed my friends on eigers and ranchers equipped with mud tires and winches, and I was able to everywhere on that bone stock atc that they did. More fun that I've ever had on any other atv.

I perfer light over anything...My old XT made it thru some mud..that my buddies recon got stuck in...over the bars in mud....that was crazy. Also my buddies 400AC made it thru the mud that my sportsman couldnt go thru...light light light is what i say. No need for big bore quads in the mud

I never really had a true sport quad, but my 1989 moto 4 200 with 23' maxis tires on the rear was pretty bada$$ in the mud.

Then again if you really want to go through the mud, buy something with 4x4. I don't belive there is a "sport quad" out there that will go through the mud my wolvy will. JMO
