Default Piped DS 650

I just installed an Alba Stage 2 race exhaust kit on my 03 Baja. The jet kit they supplied with the kit is for 0 - 3000 ft according to the salesman. I live at about 4300 ft and do most of my riding around here.... when i do go out of town to ride, the dunes we go to are about 3000 ft or so. Is there anyone who runs their piped ds in similar conditions, or anyone who can help me decide what jets to order. As far as I know, the main jet is the only one i will have to swap. here is what came in the kit:
(unfortunately the needle they supplied doesnt have a part # on it)

Main jet - 185
Pilot - 47.5

Here is what was in my carb before:

Main jet - 165
Pilot - 40
needle clip in 4th from top (i just put in the same position for the new needle)

I was told by several ppl to simply go one size down with my main jet and fine tune the needle from there.... is this solid advice?
ANY HELP AT ALL WOULD BE AWESOME

hey disco, i'm not completely sure about the jetting but it might be a little rich for that altitude, check out the bombardier forum and do a search on jetting or elevation, both searches should give you a good idea where to be at for your pipe. lots of knowledgeable guys in the bomb forum thats all, lates.. josh.....

Here is what I would do:

stock pilot jet
pilot air screw 1/2 turn farther out
needle clip in bottom groove
175 main jet
