Default NEEN HELP......rolled my ATV and need some advice

anyone at all can give me some suggestions would be great.....
i rolled my new atv and damaged the racks fenders, handlebar, frt. gaurd (piping) and seat
since i just bought it....i'm really like to take to the dealer amd have any damaged thing fixed
I have full coverage ins....this is my 1st accident and i am not sure what the ins. company will
do.
probrably raise my rates......worst case scenario would be if they cancelled the policy

I desperately need some advice....if it was much older i fix the major things and not worry about
some cosmetic stuff....but since its only a few weeks old and a 7700.00 ATV, I have no idea what
to do

Please help with any suggestions at all

Thx, Janks2005

You have to weigh the cost of the repairs vs the increased insurance rates, or getting cancelled all together. I had to repair the front end of the Recon (racks and plastic), and that alone was over $300.

Default NEEN HELP......rolled my ATV and need some advice

i checked with temecularMotorsports.com for the pricing on what I think is damaged'
It totalled approx. 1,100.00 without s/h.

I would love to have every danaged part replaced and use the dealer so I don't mess with the warranty.

But the insurance is a whole other issue.

Not sure what to do first and I definately want to make sure every thing is still aligned or not twisted (damaged)
where it would be hard for me to tell if something is wrong.

Thanks for any help and/or suggestions

I know when I wrecked mine it was cheaper to repair it myself then to deal with insurance
so I know what your going through on deciding which to do
good luck in your decision

Thanks for helping out guys.....taking ur advice about fixing it myself and factored in the deductable and rate increase w/insurance, balanced it all out and it's not worth turning in. I've got most of the damaged parts revoved and ordered the parts (715.61). I feel like a real idiot doing what I did to my new atv . Maybe I bought a atv that is too big for me (6'2"-238 lbs)?

towards ur reply iwannaride2:

My friends have been getting in their comments the same so I don't think ur being a smarta$$.

I was just trail riding new paths, puttzing around following with some friends on the side of a hill we all were on. My atv was leaning so I had my weight shifted and we come around a sharp bend on the path, which was narrow enough and had know idea what I was coming up on (this big root sticking out) on the upper side. The rest of the ATV,s were smaller and more maneuverable, plus much lower to the ground. I was going slow, but what the other riders was able to squeeze by, my bigger atv caught the root with the upper front tire (I thought it didn't look that bad). I was wrong, unfortunately and it pushed up to the PNR (point of no return) and when I realized what was happening I already was thinking it's going to roll on me so I tried my hardest to duck my head and pushed off with my shouder.

Like all accidents, It all happened so fast and I just reacted to this thing coming down on me. Yea I'm bummed about the damage , but stuff happens and I didn't get seriously hurt. With out our health we wouldn't be out there hitting the trails or for some of u the tracks.

If any good came out of it.....my friend's son seen it and how quick stuff happens and how dangerous they can be.....and believe me I know how much fun riding is. Maybe what he seen will put a little more respect in him, cause he has no fear before this happened. He's 16 and we all have been there or there right now.

Why have Insurance if your not going to use it. It's a brand new quad, turn it in and let the Dealer fix it RIGHT. If they raise your rates just drop the Insurance and then fix it yourself next time. Next time it want be new. I just dont get it......why have it if your not going to use it.
