Just received the new issue of atv 4-wheel action. They did a shootout between the raptor and predator, they said the two run neck-and-neck in flat drags. The testing was
done at Hungry Valley up one of the steep hills with hard-packed pavement like traction. The raptor consistently pulled the predator. It wasn't much-a mere 1/6 second-but
that is a distinct margin.
Their conclusion: Both machines have their strengths and weaknesses. We found the raptor is a more consistent and predictable performer than the predator and most of the time that's what it takes to win a shootout.

Psh, I'll race any Predator willing to come visit me in the high north.
Although now with that Fullbore plastic that's out, I'd like to buy a Pred.

I wish there were more preds around here, I've only gotten the opportunity to ride with and race a few of them. Doesnt seem like there are all that many fast 4 strokes in Mich; whether it be pred, rap, bomb, yfz, or otherwise. The consistantly fast 4 strokes around here are 250R/400EX framed bikes with 450cc+ bike engines in them.
