Fast and rare, LOL. Actually, I believe they did low/mid 70's stock and were only sold for a couple years. You can still find them if you look hard enough though. I have seen a few for sale locally over the last few years.

they was good in their time but not many people has them now days so yea it is rare

 

isnt there a tecate for quad? or is that just a tecate. im confused. i need a picture[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

there is the tecate-3 which in 86 was the fastest atc and the tecate-4 which was the fastest race quad in the 80's next to the zilla

There good 'ol bikes. My buddy just sold his 85 (I believe it was an 85, I might be wrong on that though) for $4800., so I'd say that they are pretty valuable! His bike was difenately nice, but it wasn't really anything too special. cool old bikes though. And yah, it's pretty fast. I rode it once just down a long driveway right before he sold it, and it hauled pretty good.

 

yeah they are real fast and pretty lookin. you can find them on ebay pretty regularly. if your getting the trike you want the 85 or higher. you can tell the difference because the older ones had a weird radiator on top of the handlebars. they are fast too but not as fast as the newer tecate 3s. the tacte 4 only ran two years 87 and 88. were many more 87s made then 88s. search tecate on ebay and list from highest price there are like 4 tecate 3s and two tecate 4s on there right now
