YFZ 450 yall must dont noe jack

 

Just to let you guys know my friend has a YFZ-450 and my brother has a Pred 500. I took the Pred and raced from a dig pulled on the Yfz very easily only at 3/4 or less throttle. Then we did it 4 more times after that one being from a roll on and still was consistant. Now He is a pretty good rider with me beind fair and not laying into it all the way becaue of the short streach that we ran on. I am not biased because I do not own one so I have reason to pick sides of the two, plus the YFZ is a little hesitent from a start?????

dont feel bad if you own a yfz.... next year they will come out with something that will spank the raptor and the predator...its a never ending cycle

 

why would i feel bad that i own a yfz...i love it. I just thought it was funny for some kid to say that a predator will walk on a 450 at 3/4 throttle...highly unlikely

The predator wouldn't stand an ice cubes chance in hell racing either one of the 450's. Especially the YFZ.

wow this guy is on crack! I only went to the dunes once when my preddy was stock. I did not have any yfz's wax me. I lost consistantly to modded 450's honda and yamaha by a quad length on comp hill. I never got to race a stocker but stock for stock or mod for mod it will come down to rider. This is my only experiance and i am being as honest as possible. I own and race yamaha jet skii's and have a yamaha quad so I am not biased. One place I do agree with bad 450 is on an mx track. I think the 450's are lighter and jump better. In a straight line drag it will be close.

 

That's been my experience too. I have an 03 and 05 preddy, I occasionally lose a few sand drags to yfz's, not a 450R yet and have consistenlty beat 660R's and recently tied with the new yamaha 700. I say tie because it really depended on who could keep thier front end down, but at the top end, the preddy did start walking away from the 700. If he changed his gear ratio, the 700 would be equal. I'd say that says a lot for the predator. Not one of these races have been very far appart on the winner, except for the 660R's, they're by 3 to 4 bike lengths. It does "wax" the z400 and z400 with the 450 kit in a straight line. It's all rider ability after the first corner...

I just started playing around with my buddies on the short TT track and have been on a high-speed flat track (once). The preddy has the nads to keep up and win, it's rider ability that will win these kinds of races.

My bikes have clamp-on K&N filters, high rev CDI and LTE pipes. Currently talking with Nicholas Cycle on a few other goodies...
