Warrior vs 400ex
#41
my friend has a 2006 Yamaha 350 Raptor .. it is basically the same as a warrior .. he raced a 300EX ... the ex beat him off the line and most of mid range but then the raptor beat him top end, but still thats only a 300EX not a 400EX, my friend really regrets gettin the bike he wishes he hadda got the 400EX

I just want a sport wheeler to mess around on every once and a while, but I would still keep my foreman 450. Thanks!

i have 03 350 warrior and 02 ex400, the 350 warrior has better bottom end power and rides softer at lower speeds and is more ridable for new riders (has reverse) can still whellie but is more nose heavy, better for new riders as it has less chance of flipping going up steep inclines, the honda 400ex has less bottom end and more power at higher r.p.m. the ride is stiffer at lower speeds but way better at higher speeds. the 400 ex hits hard at a certain rpm and really goes. If you drag race them the honda is a about one to two bike lenghts faster, but quite abit faster at top speed. as for handleing the 400ex is wider and handles tighter cornering . as for great wheelies my picks are for 3 wheelers , honda 350 x , honda 200x, and for 4 wheels atvs is suzuki 230 quadsport that is the easiest quad to wheelie period!

yea i would have to say no contest the 400ex is definatly a better quad even thou i hate to say it honda has yamaha with that one i have a warrior and my friend rides a 400ex even with the warrior modded and a bone stock 400ex that he cant even get on to much still breaking in he just cruises right by... the warrior has way too many problems with everything even when mine was stock it would over-heat i mean the header was glowing one time electrical never starts ...ever.. and carb always has to be cleaned i would go wit a 400ex

kay no..i have raced my buddies warrior many time his is piped, jetted, geared down from stock, k&n air filter, and i kill him every time with my ex but my ex isnt stock. i've ridden his bike my bike looks better more power handles better and its a honda...so for anyone thinking of buying a warrior, will end up being disapointed so go for the honda you'll love, and you'll love not having to fix anything

Ok, first, all you newbies coming on here talking crap about the warrior need to quit it. I think the warrior deserves a little respect, being that it's one of the best selling quads of all time, and from 1987 up until the 400ex hit the market, the warrior was the fastest 4 stroke quad out there. If the warrior didn't do so well honda may have never even made the 400ex to begin with, who knows were the 4 stroke market would be today without the warrior. Sure, i'll admit the honda does have some advantages over the warrior, but that's 12 years advancement in technology working for ya. That in no way makes the warrior a bad machine, or reason to believe anybody would be disappointed if they bought one.
SECOND, maybe more importantly, CAN WE JUST LET THIS DAMN THREAD DROP??? If you guys haven't noticed, this thread has been brought back from the dead about 5 times now, originally this whole thing was started 2 and a half years ago!!! But everybody has to keep adding their 2 cents and can't just let it go. Goddam kids...

I own a warrior, and it is a great bike. It had its time. They should've made upgrades when the ex came out. They didnt because of their other bikes, the raptor 2 yrs behind the ex. Back to the subject, the 400ex is better. Just as reliable, but even faster.

im brand new to the forum, but i used to have a warrior and it was like around a 390 wiseco high compression, cam, jetting, and an e-series exhaust on 20 inch tires and now i own a basically stock 400ex(no baffle and powertip just installed.)The 400 can eaat the warrior all around and i am a die-hard yamaha owner(grizzly) But when i found the 400ex for 1500 pesos, i had to buy it and it has more power, torque, stability, and comfort than the ole warrior ever had, and i thought it was mean for what it was. sorry for the long, but i would definately get a 400ex from experience
