I think its a cool quad and all....but I think yamaha went a bit far with adding fuel injection. Now you are forced to take it to the dealer when problems arise.

EFI on a quad!! Come on guy's dont you think this is the way of the future. Same thing happened with automobiles years ago. Everybody said long live the carb but, EFI has taken over. No rejetting, better response, more potential power. I'm not a yamaha guy but, I say way to go. This is a start of new and better things to come. The only downfall that I see is the prices on new technology is going to cost more.

How do you think kinks get worked out. The products have to be used (we see it everyday). If a consumer doesnt like they dont have to buy it. This type of thinking is for third world countries. I would love to have EFI on mine. EFI has been around for a long time. Its time to put it out there.

not a yamaha fan, but i will throw in my .02

I think that yamaha is going in the right direction, but throw the efi on a ute first. I think it was the raptor that had soooo many problems when it first came out...why throw something on it that is ELECTRONICAL on a rebored enigine, or whatever they did to it to make it a larger displacement. I would have tested it out on the utility line first. I know that the c-dales had success in the efi line....but that is them, and this is yamaha (not flaming) two different companies...I think that efi will be a big part of the future, but I still think it is going to be harder and harder to mod these things

If you have the money to buy a raptor 700, I'm sure you got the money to take it to the dealer if it has a problem LOL
