hi i am going to buy a quad and wanted to know,
What you people think of a 1988 suzuki lt250r for,
2700. let me know.

 

the lt250r is a awesoom quad. i almost got one myself, but the only problem is no one makes parts for it, i would get a trx250r, every one makes parts, and you can usually find them kinda modded for around that price

 

Yeah, thats pretty high for the LT250r in that year. I have seen them for 1800-2000 for 88's, for a 91 or 92 (the last 2 years they were made I believe) that might be a good deal. I would get a Honda and spend a few extra dollars.

 

What about a 1987 ftrx 250r for 3400?.

250R is a 250 cc 2-stroke, the 250x (not ex) is a 250cc 4-stroke. the 250R is considerably faster and more popular. 2700 is too high for an 88 LT250R. almosy every manufacturer makes almost any part you could need for the LT250R, parts are easy to come by. I paid 2300 for a mint condition 1990 LT250R with a small trailer. and that was about two years ago to boot.

 

is a 1987 trx 250x in very good shape with stock

I don't think I would pay over 2000 for a 250x. You should be able to find a good condition 250R for about that price.although maybe the area you are in people get higher prices for ATVs... noting how all of the prices you've presented are higher than 'market' your best bet may be to keep looking, and write down the prices you are seeing, then decide what is good and bad in your area.
