I have ridden all the bikes on your list, except the Polaris. The Z400 and its clones, are absolutely the best all-around machines available today!
I can give you a few comments on the other machines: The V-Force and DS are huge bikes for huge guys (maybe that's you?), and not the hot ticket for trail riding. Ok for dunes and open country however. Raptor carries it weight kind of high in the frame and it is narrow, so it is a little top heavy and tippy. Both the 450's have engines that like to be ridden revved out. This makes them good for fast riding in open country, but makes them a pain to ride slowly, on a tight trail. A gearing change might help however, and the new 06 450R just may have the gear ratio's worked out???

The new Raptor 700 has made a credible claim to be the best all around sport quad, unless you are only considering used, this one gets my vote.

IMO the best "all around quad" would be the Z400. It is reliable, great on the track, trail, and about everywhere else while being comfy at the same time.

probaly the new outlaw maybe in the future.
the new raptor looks real nice. yamaha fixed everything that made the raptor suck
