Today some of my brothers buddies came out with all their quads. One kid had a banshee, everything that can possibly be done was done to it. ANother kid had a v-force 700, piped and such. ANd another kid had a yfz. This is the first time Ive rode a quad other than my 87 250x and omg.. That was the best time Ive had in the longest time. THEY were sooo fast. I rode them each, banshee twice . Then I got back on my 250x and wondered where te power was.

The banshee had not too good bottom end but once you got to the higher gears the hulk was unleashed. YFZ was just powerful all the wasy through and the v-force was nice and powerful but 500 pounds limits you.

LOL, glad you had a good time, I always used to wonder the same thing when I was a teenager riding my lil ole quadsport-where is all the power? That 250X is a classic though, and still a great trail quad. Power isn't everything-but it sure is fun

yeah, once I get some money Im gonna start working on my quad and get an exhaust and a kn filter and maybe some engine work and a port job or something. The kid who has the banshee runs a shop right out of his garage for people he knows and he can do basically every type of engine work.

No matter what you do with the 250 your going to be left wanting more.
save your money buy another quad and sell the 250 when your ready, or keep it but spending money on a 250 is a no win situation. even if the labor is free........

My second option is using my quad as a down payment for some sort of 450. Either give it to the dealer or sell it for down payment money. The kid wiht the banshee also ahs a souped up gas-gas. He's rebuilding it right now for more perfromance.

That was my first reaction when I rode a Banshee with a 510cc Cheetah.

This is a refreshing post! Welcome to Horsepower my friend!

If you get rid of your quad, sell it out right, don't trade it in or they will rape you bad.

Isn't that the case with every quad, once you get used to the power, you'll always want more.
