What is the horsepower on a STOCK 300ex? and what are the best aftermarket parts to add on ?

 

13 hp stock.

I would say to get a pipe and air filter, for your first mods.

 

personal testimony. HMF pipe. great low end. intake mods are also enjoyed by the engine, and of course jet up. I think I'm at about a 141 kehlin as it stands with the mods listed in my sig. One slot down on the needle too, and pilot screw tuning.

 

BTW, my title says 22hp (crank? tires?), either way, dynojet's dyno tests suggest 17-19 hp at the tires, near 34 mph, assuming clean properly timed shifts.

 

A opened air box, pipe, & full jet kit completely change the 300EX since it has such a restrictive pipe & intake. I don't mean you will pull 400s or anything but it really wakes it up from stock. I had a Supertrapp IDS2 (with the quiet core) and it worked well and was not too loud at all.

 

yeah i would get the k&n powerup kit and the sparks x-4 complete exhaust if you have the $$$$$$$$$$
