My quad has about a 2mph higher top speed than the 700 Rappy so I know it isnt the fastest stock. Raced one on dirt and highway & creeped away on top end. I have a 06' Pred. GNCC LE.

 

If you want top speed, you can't go wrong with the DS 650 or Predator. If you want hard acceleration and good top go with the yfz 450 for it has the strongest engine of all the 06' 450s.

 

If you want to do 80+ mph on the street, do it in your car, not on your quad. People who want to go fast on the street on quads are the ones that cause problems for those of us that ride slow on the streets to get to the places we should be riding fast.

 

No streets for me.....just highways with 4 cars an hour on it and gravel and logging roads....

 

right now the highest topspeed of a quad is the new LTR 450 by suzuki

 

Oh yea?...so lemme get this strait...Suzuki makes a quad strictly for MX racing with 18 inch rear tires on it but yet they gear it up for over 77mph? how weird...

 

I will run the Suzuki 450 any day of the week on top. Stock that machine isnt set up for a top speed battle. People are putting this thing on top and most havent even seen it run. I know a guy named Eric that has one and it isnt the yamaha/honda 450 killer that some people on this board make it look like. It (stock to stock) only edged out my friend Joe's yamaha 450 by a nose in a 100 drag and the yamaha stuck to him like glue on top. Make whatever comments you want but I have seen and rode with one. This little country town eats and sleeps 4-wheelers & when a new one is out it is a race to be the first to have one. So tell another joke.
