Top Speed

i highly highly doubt the 450r will do 85!! thats quite abit for a 4 stroke even for the high proformance bike..... b/c it takes alot for a 2 stroke to get to that speed!! banshee's are running 74.5 i think or thats almost dead on i am pretty sure its been a while since i clocked one.. but i dont think u can get those speeds out of that engine without some extensive engine work! not just some HRC kit!! whats that come with just a cam new higher compression piston?? and mabe a new jets and airfilter?? but i dont see those speeds happening! i would have to see it to believe it.. it took me a tone of work to get my lt250r up past 85 i had to put a stroker crank go the bore to the max i dont remember what it was k&N filter ported and polished V force reeds and go up on my compression! i havent had an acurate clock yet but i will have one soon and take a picture and post it up

A stock 450r is only geared to top out at 75 or so. A cam kit would not change the gearing so the dude who said 85 is full of poop. I'm OUT

my stock 450r went around 74. and it still goes the same speed with a full pipe, jetted and air filter. The only thing you gain when you but aftermarket stuff on is how fast you get to that top speed. The gears inside the case can only spin so fast. My old stock 400 went 60ish if i remember right.

I built a banshee for one of my friends, that we were getting 84-85mph top speed. .030 over pistons, dynatek cdi, FMF pipes, jet kit, 22" rear tires, but I cant remember the sprokett sizes(not stock). It has no problem getting to top speed but it is limited by the stock gear box
