new sport quad

hey wuts-up im lookin to buy a new quad this summer and i don't know wut to get. I ride a raptor 350 right now but i feel like ive already out grown it or otherwise its power doesnt "fill me up" anymore. The raptor 660 has always been my dream quad but its not on the market anymore. Wut should i get Z400, Raptor 700, or Predator 500?? we ride alot on the road so we do alot of wheelies and stoppies etc. the z400 is bad a$$ for doin stunts and stuff like that how do the preddy and raptor 700 compare? (easy to pull up a wheelie?)

if the 660 was your dream quad then you will be blown away by the 700. the first quad i ever rode was a modified 660 and i fell in love with it despite the drawbacks it had (mainly being tippy and not handling as well as other quads). i think the reason i loved it so much was due to the amount of torque it produced. when it came time to purchase my first quad the 700R had just been released and thats what i bought. i can say that i could not be happier with it. it is faster than the older 660 and handles more like a yfz than the old rappy.
the z400 and the predator are both great quads in their own right and they are cheaper to boot, but if money is not an issue you will not be sorry picking up a 700R.

welcome to sport quads! the Predator 500 is basicly a bigger better version of the Z400, though its not nearly as fast as a Raptor 700. as far as stunts, like pulling wheelies and jumping. the Z400 and the preddy would be better suited. the Raptor 700 is a little bit more of a straight line quad than the other 2, though still capable.
if your buying brand new i would suggest waiting till the end of July to make a decision to see what Polaris' 2007 quads are going to be. the rumor is that the Predator is getting a light steel/aluminum hybrid frame and a KTM 525 motor, which would put it at comperable speeds and acceleration to the Raptor 700.
good luck with your purchase!

ok listen to this, like i said me and my buddys ride 1/2 of the time on concret (highways, public roads, around the neighboorhood, etc.) and the other half at dirt riding spots, sometimes mud riding SOMETIMES when it rains hahaha. So look i love to do wheelies, stoppies etc. you know "street stunt riding" but we also do some dragracing against one another and im tired of getting my a$$ kicked! So i would like a quad that wheelies good (i know the z400 is awsome for that) but the problem is i've tried my friends z400 i really love the way it handles and how easy it is to pull up and keep it in a wheelie, BUT im not satisfied with its tp speed (l know it sounds stupid but its not fast enough for me hahaha) so i want a quad thats good for stunts and has bad a$$ speed. THANKS sorry but its cuz i really want to buy the right quad for me hahhaha

No 450's anywhere on your list???? Sounds to me like what you are describing is a PLAY BIKE. I would think something like a YFZ would be the hot ticket for your type of riding.............
I always thought I needed a big bore. Then I got the Honda 450R, and discovered that you can "do more with less"! 50 pounds ligher than a Raptor, smaller, more agile, and faster. Seems like a no brainer to me!

recon is definitely right about the 450r being lighter and more nimble. being faster, however, is not entirely true. i've seen raptor 700R beat 450s (including personally doing so myself) and i've seen the 450's beat the 700r. despite what alot of 450 owners would have you think, a 450 with equal mods will not stomp a 700 into the dirt. it's alot closer than they care to admit.
regardless, recon does have a point and the yfz may be better for your needs if you are really into stunts.

I have to say that I don't particularly like the way my Z flies! It tends to nose down off a jump, so I have to hit the takeoff with lots of power and maybe even do a panic rev in flight. It would be suicide on an MX track. It doesn't wheelie as ealily as my 400EX or 450R either.
It is however an excellent desert and trail machine!

i have a Z400 and love it,im goin to add a few mods later on,but i ride woods so top end isnt really a issue its more bottom that i need so im going to change sprokets, but they are very reliable quads, light weight unlike a pred(JUNK!!!!).I would suggest a Z400 or a 450r.

ok stock for stock wut gets higher top speed a raptor or a yfz? and also its cuz a friend just bought a yfz and he says its not that good for doin wheelies and stuff like that. THANKS

Stock Ibeleive the 700 has the YFZ in top speed by a little. The 700 does wheelie easier than a yfz which isnt always a good thing lol. The front end comes up easier, which can be a pain in a drag but it just takes some practice.
