Well the KTM 525 makes about 56 hp at the crank (some say 61 but everything ive read says 56) but 1 fact most have over looked is that other dirt bike engines that jumped into quads where detuned and dont make the HP they do in dirtbikes. Only time will tell how much HP the outlaw has when it comes out.

It won't matter......

Unless they figure out how to make it handle like a solid axle when it needs to act like one, it's not going to be much fun to go fast.

The Outlaw 500 was a nightmare enough to ride aggressive, I'm sure with even more power it will do even stranger things.

the outlaw 525 should be a dream to ride in trails because of the IRS. I hope it can beat those 450s and i hope that the predator gets the ktm motor too.

I don't know how much seat time you have on a Outlaw, but it is far from a nightmare to ride aggressive. That is all I know how to ride. Once you get used to the irs you can ride it just like a sra.

Well I can't say it was based on hours of riding so perhaps you do get used to it.....

But there were a couple times when I needed to give it gas to get the back end to track straight and it made it worse.... On a straight axle you can keep the power on to pull yourself through the whoops, or choppy sections, the back end may hop side-to-side but it keeps going straight......

The Outlaw was crazy, the back end would swap and giving it gas only made it swap more........ And I did not feel comfortable on the face of jumps, if your body is not straight and the launch is not straight the thing just jumps off to whichever side the jump is tilted....... Every time I tried to pre-load the suspension on the face of the jump the thing would just rebound any way it wanted..........

Maybe after riding one for a few months I'd get used to it but it sure didn't feel like I wanted to bother..............

Matt Smiley sure didn't like racing one either, and he's an XC rider......
