Some people completely remove the air box but how and where you ride can determine if this is a good idea or not. Personally it wouldnt work for me and the way I ride but I have ran with no lid with no problems. I currently run a Pro-tec lid in place of the stock one and I like this set-up alot. I run in a extremely dusty place when dry but when it rains it can get really muddy and wet as well. My Pro-Design UNI and Pro-Tec lid keeps me safe no matter what the conditions. i have a wolverine, same airbox as warrior, maybe the raptor 350 not sure. but the way the airbox is designed it for you to use the lid to hold the airfilter in place. i bought a cfm aluminum airbox and its great

Ya you will need a Pro-design Intake to not run a lid and be safe.
