i have a 2002 660 raptor and i think its an awesome machine! its got great low end power and well as a fast top speed. But i just want to hear some other opinions on what they think of the 660 raptor. just tell me your dislikes and likes about the machine? and also would my raptor beat a predator 500 in a drag race and on top speed????? thanks

 

Most likley you would beat a predator on top end.Acceleration there both excellent in.I would rate it 8.5.I like the bike overall very well.I love my DS but a raptor or a lt-450 would be my next choice if i had the cash to add to the collection.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Ive rode my friends rappy and i just dislike them because i fell like im up to high and is to tippy,but it doe have nice power i give it a 6,just my taste in bikes

i like the sitting up high feeling, what is everyone problem? havent any of you ever ridden a dirtbike?

the Predator is faster till it tops out, then the raptor has a few more mph in it and it should roll rigth by.

 

I'll give it an 8.5. My likes are its handling, power, and size. I'm 6' 6" and I fit on them very well. I rarely get the sensation of them being tippy, and I like to rail corners at high speed. Maybe that's because I lean way over like Travis Spader. The power is great all the way through. What I dislke about them is the chain adjustment, the under-slung rear brake lever, and the twin carbs. I would like to have an extra 1.5" on the swingarm and one carb or EFI, but that's where the new 700 takes over and really shines. At least an over-peg brake lever is somewhat affordable. For what they are, the 660s are great machines, and I would own one any day.

 

id have to give it around an 8.5, it has nice power stock, very good handling (i dont see how people call them 'tippy' unless there too scared to ride agressive) and it has a nice selection of aftermrket parts for power and looks.

They are great. Just put your @ss on the footpeg and top heavy or not its gonna handle. Only things i totally dislike on mine: rear swingarm too short, needs 2-4 more inches. stock shox suck, needs yfz shox at least. Id give it an 8.

 

The power is all I like about this machine. For power I give it a 9.

Ergonomics are mediocre. I give them a 5.

Suspension is mushy. The engine/frame are kind of tall, and why do they put the radiator way up in the top of the frame? And the rear axle is way narrow, so these all combine to make the machine tippy. So for handling, it gets only a 2.
