Raptor 350 help
#1
I have a question, i am looking to buy a raptor 350 and i am wondering if that bike is worth it and what are some other bikes that are equal to that? I like to ride alot in the desert, go up hills and i like to race on dry lake beds.
I am 16 5'7 and 160.

The Raptor 350 is a redone Warrior. I was riding a Warrior when you were in diapers, and it was the worst quad I ever owned! The motor is heavy and absolutely antiquated (but reliable!).
I say pass this one up, and look for a Honda 400EX or a Suzuki Z400. Both are considerably faster than the 350, and both will make a better desert quad.

I do not think it is fair to call the new 350 Raptor a redone Warrior. A bike does not lose 25 lbs with a new design just by changing the plastic. The Warrior came in at 397 lbs while the Raptor went on a major diet and comes in at 375 lbs. You can not compare the ride of the Warrior to the new Raptor. The Raptor received a new carb that did away with the hesitation of the Warrior and there were some engine changes along with a few other changes.
But with that said I agree with you on not suggesting the Raptor 350 to a 16 year old that likes to "race dry lake beds". Especially one that list that he owns an '07 700R and an 87 Banshee. So why do you want a Raptor 350?
I have not figured out why the getting long in the tooth 400ex has an MSRP of $5999. That is $1000 more than the Raptor 350, $100 more than the Z400 and dead even with the Predator 500. The Z400 and Predator are both water cooled fast revving engines. The Z400 has fully adjustable front suspension and the Predator comes stock with Razr tires, heavy duty rear axle and Fox suspension.

Yea you might grow tired of a Raptor350 too quickly.
My wife loves hers, and it is without question totally different from the old Warrior. The two machines share a few design components but the Raptor is light-years ahead of the Warrior in every aspect.
With that said the engine is mild, and someone with your listed machines would be bored in about two minutes.

I have a 350 it hadles way diff than a warrior feels nothing like it but it is still a 350 if i had to do it over between a 400 ex or a z400 id take the z over mine any day but not so much the 400ex the z is just that much better than the 350 or the 400ex.But since you have a 700r and a banshee your going to be hard to please because none of these machines or in those classes why do you want a small atv when u got a brand new 700 and a shee?
