YFZ 450 Question
#1
Hey guys I was thinking about getting the 07' YFZ 450..I like to ride on roads, and some openings.. even know and then some trackes but I got some trails in my back yard and I was wondering if YFZ's are good at all on trails and riding threw the woods and stuff...

All of the 450's make their power at high rpm's and don't like to be lugged down, so none of them are the ideal trail quad....lots of clutch slipping required. I find the YFZ's stock suspension to be very harsh.
I like the 400EX for the trails, and my 450R for the open desert...

The YFZ is going to be happiest at a spirited riding pace. I actually find the suspenders to be excellent, as long as you are hammering along with the throttle wicked open! If you do a lot of track riding, then a 450 is the best tool. Otherwise there are other great trail quads thast are less hiper. I ride my YFZ for trails a lot, but the past 6 months have used it almost exclusively on tracks.
