tires. Need help
#12
If stock tires are 20's, going to 22's will add a couple mph on the top end if you have enough power in reserve. It will also slow down acceleraton most of the time, although I don't think it would be very noticable loss as most machines seem to be geared too low from the factory anyways. You may actually gain a little acceleration due to less spinning and less time spent shifting.
As far as places to look for tires, rockymountainatv.com is good if they have what you're looking for. They only carry certain brands though. I like mudthrowers.com better, because they have a wider selection, better specifications and descriptions of the tires, and their prices seem to be very close to rockymountain's most of the time. About a year and a half ago I bought my Swamplites from them and I think it cost me about $115 for 2 heavy 22" tires, shipping included. Also, it seems like whenever I go to order from rockymountain it's either out of stock in the size I want, or only has 1 in the size I need. Who buys one tire???
