For drag racing - straight paddles (8 paddles)

For dune riding - ITP Sand Stars. Hook up well and let you roost and slide as you want.

I like the buffed down Skat-Trak's. They are way lighter than the new generation of molded paddle tires...and weight is your enemy in the sand!

For my lightly moded EX, I run 6-Paddle Skat-Trak Edges (V-shaped paddle) on the back, and Skat-Trak Mohawks on the front.

Depends on where you ride, whether you want to pick the the V-shaped paddle or the straight ones. I like the V, because they allow quicker turning, so they are my choice for Oregon Dunes, Glamis, and Dumont. If you just ride one of the "sand box" areas where drag racing is all there is to do, then the straight paddles might serve you best.

I lost my internet connection after I hot "submit" and may have lost me little writeup on weight, but it's worth noting that the 700XX is only 50 pounds heavier than a 700r with fluids. The dry weight thing is retarded and I'm glad manufacturers are starting to report weight for what it is "ready to ride".</end quote></div>

i think a 8 cup hauler would be way to much for your quad. i would get some 6 or 8 cup skat trak gliders for yours. and no madder what kind of paddle to get make sure it is a skat trak. they are the lightest and imo the best paddles made.

but if you are on a budget and dont want to spend alot of $ get itp sand stars on 8 inch rims

sometimes gliders are better even for high hp quads. i herd 2 guys said they picked up 3 lenghs up a hill last weekend by going with 10 cup gliders over 10 cup hauler because the sand was wet. and these guys are making big power. like 75-80hp
