Have an oppertunity to buy my uncles blaster for 400 bucks he says it'll run at least 55 and hes sure it'll go faster. Thats not exactly fast enough to keep up with my friends 400 what can I do if i buy it that can make it at least keep up with his 400. I was thinkin of K&N atv power up kit comes with jetkit,filter,outerwears,and service kit. also maybe get some wheel spacers to help slide around [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I think its already piped but can't remember.
any sugestions please!

 

The Blaster is a fun trail quad, but the trouble is is doesn't have super suspension. The faster you go on it, the more you will realize that fact.....

 

The high speed will be almost excluesivly on the road
an no offense man but I ride my honda 200es It does 45 and has no suspension even if the blasters suspension consisted of me sitting on a pillow on the frame inplace of the seat I think I could handle it. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] The only time the suspension would be a problem would be on big jumps which I have very few of. mostly hillclimbs and trails in the woods or through the creek.

 

u wanna beet his 400? well forget that my buddy has a 1998 blaster he has jet KnN and fmf fatty and power core with 40 over bore built!!! my 2001 400ex hmf pipe, KnN and jet rest is stock and i beat him by a mile!!! so if u wanna beat his 400 get a 400 or 450

 

Unlike yours theres are completly stock. well MAYBE new rear tires but thats it. And I don't need to beat them just keep up I realize that I would be at a disadvantage even if the blaster was modded. There all to stupid to modify theres where as i love to tinker with my toys and make them faster. The only way I'd be getting a 400 is if one was DIRT CHEAP. there parents buy every thing for them i have to work for everything I get so that probably not going to happen plus my dad HATES racers with a passion.

 

lol i hear u i had to work and work and sell my dirt bikes and old 4 wheelr to get wat i got now!! it aint ez!! but that is a good deal for 400 bucks+ blasters are pretty fun just a litter more of a challange to wheelie unlike the 4 strokes...

 

It surely wouldn't be that hard to do a wheelie the thing weighs like what 250- 300lbs at most. Its so small you should be able to lean back on the wheelie bar and go. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

nah it is because it is 2 stroke and it over revs alot once u get them up they feel like they are gonna blow up!!

if you wanna make a blaster beat a 400 on top end get the vitos big bore cylinder kit for 500$ put a 15 tooth sprocket on the front but if u want him on acceleration put a smaller front sprocket 12 tooth and a bigger rear and as for a handlin throw a front end lowering kit on it there cheap and help u handle better at high speeds
