Default oil question

Your owner's manual should always be your guide. As I recall, it spec's 5W30 as a cold weather oil, and maybe 10W30 for mild winters. For summer weather, you want 10W40 in most places, and maybe even 15W50 if you live in the very hot south.

Some good oil reading:

I highly suggest an ester synthetic oil if you want the best there is! I run Redline, but I also like Maxima, Motul, and Klotz. All these are fairly expensive, however.
