Default Exhaust Systems

Have a 2006 Z400 and am getting either a slip on or full exhaust system ASAP. What is the best all around buy?? Are slip ons worth it?

A slip on for a z400 will only give you a little low end gain that may bleed a little into the mid range...... I did a slip on and (Power Now) carb air insert only, and am happy with the results but I was only looking to gain a little low end for the trails. The power difference is slight it more or less just changed the power curve to bend a little more towards the low and less to the top end.... I did not re-jet or open the air box up, so I didn't expect any huge gains going in....

A full exhaust will also require a re-jetting as well as some form of air intake modification too.... in which case all 3 together is a huge gain all around.....it is a lot more money and work but you get what you pay for, and no one I know who has done a full exhaust on a z400 has regretted it.....

I have a full LRD pipe and it seems to work pretty well. I would say Rossier, Motoworks and FMF would be good as well. There are so many good ones out there though.
