Just currious about what people would buy if they had a real selection of open class bikes that were more than fluffy trail couches. We haven't had any agro open class machines in a long time (banshee, Zilla, Tiger 500). I will say I have had a run in with Aprillia and that subject came up it is more of an issue of marketability with them and finding funding along with some kooky jerk to ride the thing.

Man you put up some hard choices as I would love to see Kawi, Suzuki, Honda , and you forgot Can Am (DS700or 800) come out with something that will compete with the Raptor 700. The Raptor is such a good machine and I'm sure all of the main manufacturers could make some very nice hefty competition. But I chose Kawi for the heck of it on your poll. An aprillia would be a bad azz machine as well. My all time Dream would be for Can Am to make a replacement for the DS650, like a Fuel injected, aluminum framed, light weight, 50" wide beast with at least a 700 or 800 motor in it. As far as the can am goes, I also wanted to include most anything that Rotax makes, Like the 800 cc engine that BMW uses in their bikes, also I thought that if one was going to go along with all these poorly carried out IRS quads then it might as well be done right and have a Can Am Renegade style quad powered by the BMW1200 boxer engine with a 5 speed and reverse (105 HP hitting the groung that are very very quiet and fuel efficient). Never mind the fact MAICO is back and offer 2 stroke bikes from 250, 320, 500, 625, and 685 all of which produce more tractable power than anything any of us have ridden. By the way the 685 makes 85 HP out of the crate, I would love to stuff that thing into an aluminum leager frame(250R style) and decimate the competition at the track. As I said it is not hard to make a quad that will shame everything that is out there. I would find it to be the greatest honor to help any of these companies see that there is a market for crazed throttle jockies and get any one of these on the market.
