I wanted to know if Custom Axis are worth the 300 extra over the PEP limited mass. I ride a 400ex motoX. The wait on the Axis is about 3 weeks compared to the wait on the PEP ( 3 months).
Thanks for the help

I have owned both types over the last few years. I currently run Axis shocks on my woods racing bike. I used to run PEP but it was on a MX bike. I have never tried the PEP's in the woods but don't have any intentions of going back. Both are a great shock but I would have to say for the type of racing I now do I would have to go with the Axis. I base this more on customer service than on shock performance because, like I said, they are both good shocks. Mike(owner of Axis) seems to focus more on the woods racing whereas PEP's focus is more toward MX. Based on this, Mike has spent several hours of his time working closely with several racers from my area at dialing in the Axis shocks and trying different setups. In doing this I have learned a great deal about shock setup and currently the shocks on my bike are the besting handling shocks I have ever ridden.
