ATC350X vs. TRX400EX

I just saw two of them race yesterday. The 400EX won both times. I guess that answers your acceleration question. Of course with a ride as old as the 350X it could have been a lot slower than what it once was...

i agree on his opinion of the age thing, if you can get a good one at a good price go for it. otherwise, id have to give the nod to the new kid on the block, at least for suspension and the fact that the technology is updated.

My '85 350X is bored .040 over, but, it needs another rebuild. It has stock gearing and 22" rear tires. My stock 400EX is faster in a drag race, faster in rough terrain, and more stable on hill climbing. I do like the 350X tranny better though, it shifts a lot smoother and I like the closer ratio/6th gear. I like the electric start on the 400EX. The only thing good about a kickstart on a fourstroke is, most of the time your friends can't start it.
