I got a new set of ITP Holeshot HD's for my 250EX and they hook us surprisingly well in the snow. You guys will have more power and wheel spin though. I have a set that are supposed to work well but I'm not sure what they're called. I'll find out later for you guys.

I use ice screws that screw directly into the ***** on the tires. About 250 in one front tire and atleast 500 in one rear tire. Works well, just takes some time. About 40mins for the front tire and almost 2 hours for the rear tire. I'll try to post some pics. My bro on his 450r uses skis in the front and rear tires with about 5000 drywall screws in them , that really hooks up.

Alright sounds sick! I was thinking about screws, I would just have to get a set of new tires/wheels (wouldn't want to put them into my summer tires).

Hah and skis on a 450R? Actually? hah I would love to see that!

I was riding today, there was a lot of ice on the trail, and it was above 0 celsius and it was melting, there was a lot of water on top of the ice. If I just slightly increase the throttle over one of those patches my rear end would just start drifting..... it was really really fun though! In the snow I am fine with the stock tires, I guess since it's an MX quad, sand on a track is similar to snow, but ice is a whole other animal!

Looks good!

But you can't take them out right? If I went this route I would just buy a somewhat decent pair of tires and wheels and put the screws in, and then switch to my regular ones again in the summer.

Alright, sick. I will see how much snow we will get in the next week or so.... if more is on it's way then I just might stay stock. If it looks like just rain and ice is coming then screws and some extra tires/wheels are necessary!!!

Hah that's pretty funny (the 450R). I'm sure it works, just funny to imagine doing that!
