The 525 would be the first off the line, then the DS650 would leave them in the dust.

We're not talking about which is the quickest. He asked JUST TOP SPEED. The DS is like the Raptor, the motor in stock form is not that impressive.

 

Actually he did ask about "acceleration, top speed and hill climb, trails..."

I have no experience with the DS whatsoever but, The 700 Raptor is no joke in stock form. When compared to other stock wheelers of course. And once you sit on a modded one it's like "What was I doing on that pansy thing".

 

My mistake, I read it wrong. In that case I will go with the DS650 or the Outlaw.

 

The outlaw will probably feel faster, because its a lot lighter.. Not to change the subject, but has anybody lined up an outlaw against a DS450?

Maybe a outlaw 450 but a 525 will kill it. The KTM 525 is the fastest motocross bike made much faster than any 450 class bike, so putting the same motor in a ATV will give the same results.

 

i cant say i ran against a ds450, but i have raced a suzuki r450, yfz450, and a honda 450r and beat them in the long run. the ds450 is supposed to be faster, or so ive been told...

 

The DS450 apparently lacks down low, but once it get's going it's supposed to be fast.

 

fast is different for every person u ask. most of thesre bikes can be made very fast for any type of riding. the kfx700 imo is the worst of the bunch. if u talk drag racing the ds650 and the raptor 660 lead the pack. the irs525 probaly would be best for gncc type of racing. a turbo raptor 700 with a big bore just set the 4 stroke record for olds hill at glamis fsa. its bored to 812 and makes 140hp and ive been told the boost can be turned up and make 165hp.
