So do u know where tho poker run is yet racer18? What all do u have for mods on your 400ex?

 

I think the Warrior guys are missing the point. I don't think I saw anyone list any form of AFTERMARKET SHOCKS on thier quads! (But I may have just missed that.) Don't you guys realize that the suspension and frame geometry are what totally makes a 400EX (and a 250R for that matter)and not an all-powerful engine! Without some form of suspension modifications you'll be lucky to beat a 300EX in the woods or on the track!!!

I have works suspension on the front. I give them a 100% cause they do don't bottom out. I still have the rear stock suspenion. I am getting works for the rear soon.

 

All those mods added and money spent and you still won't be able to touch a stock Raptor... tsk tsk...

My cousin has a raptor, 400ex, and a 250R. My uncle as a Kx250 and a XR600. My uncle smoked my cuz on his raptor with the 600. The R will take it no matter what condition.The 400ex is just there to bit the crapp out of. I know what a raptor has. It is junk. the tansission locked up on him couple weekend's ago. I's only 4 months old. Look what Tim Farr went threw in the Baja 2000? ( how many 5 ) he didn't even finish. I know my warrior won't take it. In tite trails it will. Cause the raptor is geared to high>

 

Son, I had a modified 250R, I fully know what it is capable of. Stock vs. stock, it would be a toss up between an R and the Raptor. But, then again, who keeps their quads stock. I was just stating a fact about how a bone-stock Raptor would still eat you alive. The point I was trying to make is that you would have been better off just buying a new Raptor, if it was around when you started your mods.

So far my Raptor has been bullet-proof, and I ride extremely hard.

 

Dad,I rode a raptor before. the oni rode has a K@N air filter, White bros. slip on. A jet kt. I know what iy has. My cuz raced a pro racer. He waz on his woods R. My cousin had him intill Darin grabbed 6th. gear. That was his junky are. Imagin I his race bke pushing 70 some horse power. Yes the raptor was out when i bought my warrior. I like ,it is okay. I wouldn't bye one in the near future.

 

There is no denying a shee is gonna beat a EX. It's a 2-stroke 350 against a 4 stroke 400.
