banshee Or kx250f
Hi all, this is my first post here so sorry if its in the wrong place. Anyways, I'm 18, 5'11 and weigh about 180 lbs, and I've been riding dirt bikes since i was 6.
I've been riding a 05 kx85 for the past couple of years, with a big wheel conversion and bored 20 over if i remember correctly. Lately I've been looking to upgrade to a kx 250f as i love Kawasaki, until just the other day when i rode one of my riding buddies 06 banshee. All i could say after it was wow, he let me ride it for a good hour or so and it was great at ripping through trails. I'm pretty much set on a banshee, but I've heard from many people that banshees, like to foul plugs, and are generally just pretty rough on trails. With that being said, i understand how to ride a 2 stroke, so that's not the issue here, i just want to know the pros and cons of a banshee vs something like a kx250f and just dirt bikes in general. Any tips? For reference, the banshee I'm looking at has allot of mods: https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/snw/5588308781.html
and the kx250f is pretty stock: https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/5568076535.html
Both have firm prices.

2 wheels vs 4 wheels. If you don't mind the increase in size and weight and that you will be more limited on places to ride (width, obstacles), a quad is fine. As far as the Banshee, or any other 2 stoke fouling plugs, that is nonsense. It is all about your pre-mix and jetting. Get that dialed in, and you will have no issues with spark plugs. The KX250 will be much cheaper to maintain/modify...two tires, single cylinder, one shock, two forks, etc. The Banshee being a twin cylinder machine obviously has 2 cylinders, two carbs, two pipes, etc. You also have deal with 4 shocks and 4 tires, so there is definitely much more involved in maintaining a quad. I personally prefer quads. I need the extra training wheels.
