I just got a 250ex for my son. That is one cool little toy,but we need more POWER.And any ideas on suspention and handling would be great. In one of D-Wheel mag. it showed that the 250 had the smallest carb. of any quad with a 125cc-300ccmotor.So get bigger carb.or just a jet kit? NEED HELP!!

That little carb is fine for that motor. plus dirtwheels gets alot of specs wrong. I piped mine and put a air filter in it and it added a lot more power. plus it sounds mean. I got the jwt kit and jetted it the way it said but it ran to rich. I wentup one size on the main and it runs nice. plus its cold as heck here so it would be leaner. I might have to go back to stock jetting this summer. If you find any internal mods like a cam or a high comp piston you let me know. I have been asking but nobody knows. I would like to hop this little toy up before I upgrade to a bigger quad.

I would have to say any quad will perform better with a pipe and jet kit. I know i dont have a 250ex but my lakota got hella faster with my exhaust (full system) jet kit and airfilter. I would start out with these mods than later on move up to the bigger stuff like the big bore kits, cam, and stuff like that.
