C&S- Did you use Higher pressure valve springs or did you use stock springs?

Yep, I put a Curtis Sparks cam in my 93 300EX and soon the rockers detroyed the cam. So Curtis had me send the rocker box and cam in and he found out Honda changed rocker-arm manufactures when they switched from the 250X to the 300EX. They made the surface on the ends of the cam thinner, thus when a new cam was installed it wore thru during break-in and tore up the cam. Curtis helped me get running again and said that from now on he would have to sell heavy duty rocker-arms with 300EX cams. The 250X's never had any problems though. I don't know if Honda fixed any later models after the 93 or 94 years, if so I don't know that. I'd recommend giving Curtis Sparks a call to find out if they fixed the problem or not on the newer ones.

Good Luck,

Sickman
